Delete your data

You can remove your data from Wasta whenever you like. There are two separate things, and you can do only the first if you prefer:

Disconnect Instagram only, and keep your Wasta account active.
Delete your whole account and all your data.

1. Disconnecting Instagram only

Your Wasta account keeps working. Only the Instagram stats and the verified badge go away.

Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
Tap the three lines (☰) at the top right, then Settings and privacy.
Scroll to Apps and websites (called Website permissions on some phones).
Find Wasta and tap Remove or Revoke access.

As soon as you revoke permission, Wasta stops fetching your Instagram stats. If you also want the Instagram data we already hold erased, send the email below and write “delete my Instagram data only”. Within 7 days we remove all of it: username, profile picture, followers, stats, demographics, post metadata and the access token.

2. Deleting your whole account

Write to us from the same email your Wasta account uses, otherwise we cannot confirm the request is really yours.

Send a deletion request to salam@wasta.pk

Just include:

Your name
Your Wasta email address
One line: “Please delete my Wasta account and all my data.”

We act within 7 days and confirm by reply to the same email.

What is deleted

Your name, email, WhatsApp number, city and password.
Your profile: handle, niche, bio, rates and follower count.
Everything received from Instagram: username, profile picture, followers, stats, demographics, post metadata and the access token.
Your applications and quotes.
Your messages.
On a business or agency account: the campaigns you posted.

What may remain

If work was completed through Wasta, a minimal accounting record of that transaction may be kept, such as the date and the rate. Your name, email and phone number are stripped out, so it can no longer identify you. It is kept only for accounting and tax.

Ordinary hosting server logs expire on their own schedule.

Deletion is permanent

A deleted account cannot be restored. To work with Wasta again you would need to sign up afresh.
