How to work with fashion influencers in Pakistan

By the Wasta team, Karachi · Updated · 8 min read

The short version

Fashion influencers in Pakistan usually charge per reel, and as an indicative guide a nano creator asks Rs 2,000 to 8,000, a micro creator Rs 8,000 to 25,000 and a mid tier creator Rs 30,000 to 120,000. Clothing brands get the most from styling reels and try on hauls timed to lawn season, Eid and wedding season. Decide between gifting and a paid fee up front, and for barter agree the size, who keeps the outfit and how exchanges work before you ship.

  • Styling reels and try on hauls sell clothes better than a single posed photo.
  • Lawn season, Ramzan and Eid, and wedding season are the peaks. Book creators weeks ahead.
  • Gifting alone suits nano creators and simple stories. A full reel usually needs a fee as well.
  • For barter, agree size, stitching, exchanges and who keeps the outfit before shipping.
  • Match the creator's audience to your price point and your style, not just their follower count.

How much do fashion influencers in Pakistan charge?

Fashion creators quote per reel, story or post, and the outfits are usually sent on top. The ranges below are the indicative ones Wasta gives as guidance, not survey data, and every creator sets their own rate.

TierInstagram followersIndicative rate for one reelCommon fashion content
Nano1,000 to 10,000Rs 2,000 to 8,000Outfit of the day, simple try ons, story features
Micro10,000 to 50,000Rs 8,000 to 25,000Styling reels, try on hauls, Eid looks
Mid tier50,000 to 250,000Rs 30,000 to 120,000Collection launches, lookbooks, multi reel packages
Indicative only. A story usually costs about a third of a reel and a static post about half.

Hauls, location shoots, seasonal exclusivity and ad usage all push the price up. Ask for a package price if you need more than one reel.

When should clothing brands run influencer campaigns in Pakistan?

Fashion in Pakistan runs on seasons, and creators get booked up around each one. Plan backwards from the date your collection goes live.

SeasonWhat people look forContent that works
Lawn season (spring and summer)New prints, unstitched and ready to wear lawn, light fabricsFabric close ups, stitched results, one suit styled three ways
Ramzan and Eid ul FitrEid outfits, Chand Raat looks, matching family wearEid look reels, get ready with me, gift ideas
Eid ul AdhaComfortable festive wearFamily day looks, simple styling reels
Wedding season (mostly winter)Formals, guest outfits, mehndi and barat looksEvent looks, accessories pairing, what to wear to each function
WinterKhaddar, shawls, layeringLayering reels, weekday to weekend looks

For Eid, creators often plan content weeks before Chand Raat. If your outfits are not with them in time, the slot goes to someone else.

Which fashion content actually sells clothes?

  • Styling reels. One outfit worn a few ways, or one dupatta with three looks. Shoppers see more value in each piece.
  • Try on hauls. Several pieces in one reel, with honest notes on fit and fabric. Ask the creator to say their height and the size they are wearing.
  • Fabric close ups. Lawn and formals sell on print, embroidery and feel. A close shot in daylight answers questions a posed photo cannot.
  • Real movement. Walking, sitting, turning. People want to see how a shirt falls and how a dupatta drapes.
  • Clear details on screen. Article name or number, price and how to order. In Pakistan the first comment on a fashion reel is often a request for the price.
  • Get ready with me for an event. An Eid morning or a mehndi night makes the outfit feel like a real choice, not a catalogue page.

Gifting or paid: what should a clothing brand offer?

OfferWhat the creator getsWhat you can fairly ask for
Gifting with no promiseOne outfit, theirs to keepNothing fixed. A post if they love it
BarterOne or more outfits as paymentStories or a simple reel, agreed in advance
PaidA fee, usually plus the outfitsAn agreed reel or haul, posting date, tags and caption details

The value of the outfits should roughly match the work. One lawn suit is a fair trade for a story or two from a nano creator. A full haul from a micro creator, which takes styling, filming and editing, usually needs a fee as well. Our barter collaborations guide covers fair trades in detail, and our guide to PR packages covers packaging and what to put inside.

Sizes, stitching and returns: how do you handle barter for clothes?

Clothing barter goes wrong over small practical things. Settle these in writing before you ship:

  1. 1Size. Ask for the creator's usual size and, for fitted pieces, their measurements. Share your size chart so they can check it.
  2. 2Stitching. Unstitched lawn needs time at the tailor. Either send it early enough or send a stitched sample for filming.
  3. 3Exchanges. If the fit is wrong, say whether you will exchange it and who pays the courier both ways.
  4. 4Who keeps it. Make clear whether the outfit is a gift to keep or a sample that must come back after the shoot.
  5. 5Dates. The date it will be delivered and the date it will be posted.
  6. 6Proof. A link to the post once it is live, so both sides know the deal is done.

On Wasta, barter deals track the shipment and the proof of post, and the deliverables and dates sit on a deal card both sides accept.

How can small Instagram clothing stores work with influencers?

  • Start with nano creators. Their rates fit a small budget, and many are open to barter for simple stories.
  • Pick your best seller, not your newest piece. A product that already sells well gives the creator's audience a reason to trust it.
  • Make ordering easy. Put your WhatsApp number or order link in the brief and ask the creator to share it in stories.
  • Be ready for the messages. If a reel works, you may get many DMs in a day. Keep prices and sizes ready to reply quickly.
  • Use a code per creator so you can see who brought in orders, then rebook the ones who did.

How do you pick fashion influencers for pret and modest wear?

The right creator dresses the way your customer wants to dress. A modest wear brand should look for creators who already wear long shirts, abayas or hijab styles every day. A pret brand selling office wear does better with creators whose followers ask about work outfits.

  • Price point. If your shirts cost Rs 3,000, a creator who mostly shows luxury formals may not reach your buyers.
  • Body types and sizes. If you sell a wide size range, work with creators who show that range.
  • Audience location. Most followers should be in Pakistan, and ideally in the cities you deliver to fastest.
  • Comments. Look for people asking for prices, sizes and where to buy, not just compliments.
