Influencer rates in Pakistan: what a reel, a story or a post costs in 2026

By the Wasta team, Karachi · Updated · 7 min read

The short version

Most Instagram creators in Pakistan charge per piece of content. As a rough guide, one reel from a nano creator (1,000 to 10,000 followers) costs Rs 2,000 to 8,000, a micro creator (10,000 to 50,000 followers) charges Rs 8,000 to 25,000, and a mid tier creator (50,000 to 250,000 followers) charges Rs 30,000 to 120,000. Engagement, niche, usage rights and exclusivity move the final number.

  • Rates are quoted per deliverable: a reel, a story or a static post.
  • A story is usually worth about a third of a reel, a static post about half.
  • Engagement and content quality matter more than the follower count.
  • Usage rights and exclusivity are charged on top.
  • On a barter deal, the real value of the product counts as payment.

Typical influencer rates in Pakistan by follower tier

These are indicative ranges for one Instagram reel, the format most campaigns in Pakistan ask for, with stories and static posts worked out from it. They are not a price list. Every creator sets their own rate, and on Wasta each creator sends their own quote on every campaign.

TierFollowersOne reelOne storyOne static post
Nano1,000 to 10,000Rs 2,000 to 8,000Rs 700 to 2,700Rs 1,000 to 4,000
Micro10,000 to 50,000Rs 8,000 to 25,000Rs 2,700 to 8,300Rs 4,000 to 12,500
Mid tier50,000 to 250,000Rs 30,000 to 120,000Rs 10,000 to 40,000Rs 15,000 to 60,000
Story and post prices use the usual rule of thumb (a story at about a third of a reel, a post at about half) and are rounded. Creators above 250,000 followers and celebrities usually price each campaign separately.

Why two creators with the same followers charge different rates

  • Engagement. A creator whose reels get real comments, shares and saves is worth more than one with a big but quiet audience.
  • Niche. Some niches have more brands looking for creators than others. Specialist creators (tech reviews, parenting, finance) are fewer, so they can often ask more.
  • Content quality. Good light, sound and editing take time and gear, and brands pay for that.
  • Audience location. A Karachi restaurant needs followers in Karachi. A local creator with a smaller audience can be worth more to it than a bigger national account.
  • Turnaround and revisions. Rush jobs and extra rounds of changes add to the price.

What raises the price: usage rights, exclusivity and packages

Three things are often left out of the first quote and cause arguments later. Agree them up front.

  • Usage rights. If the brand wants to run your reel as a paid ad, or post it on its own page, that is a separate charge, usually priced for a set period of use.
  • Exclusivity. If you agree not to work with a competing brand for a while, charge for the work you will be turning down.
  • Packages. One reel plus two stories, or three reels across a month. Bundles usually come with a small discount per piece and give the brand more reach.

How creators can set a fair rate

  1. 1Start from your tier's range, then place yourself in it honestly: engagement, quality and how local your audience is.
  2. 2Price a reel first, then work out stories and posts from it.
  3. 3Add usage rights and exclusivity as separate lines, never hidden inside the reel price.
  4. 4For barter, write down the product's real value and decide whether it covers the work, or ask for product plus cash.
  5. 5Put your rates on your profile so brands see them before they message you. On Wasta your rates sit on your profile, and Wasta takes no commission from creators.

Most creators undersell themselves because they never see what others charge. If brands accept your rate instantly every time, it is probably too low.

How brands should budget for influencers in Pakistan

Rs 20,000 can buy one micro creator's reel, or reels from two to five nano creators. For local businesses, several small creators with audiences in the same city often work better than one bigger name, because more nearby people see the post from someone they follow closely.

  • Decide the goal first: footfall, orders, app installs or awareness.
  • Ask every creator for their reel rate, where their audience lives, and two recent examples.
  • Give each creator a discount code or a tracked link, so you can see who actually drove results.
  • Put deliverables, deadline and rate in writing before any payment. On Wasta these sit on a deal card that both sides accept.

Where these numbers come from

These ranges are the guidance Wasta gives creators on its rates page. They reflect common asks in the Pakistani market rather than a formal survey, and the market moves. Use them to start a conversation, not to end one.

Questions people ask

How much does an influencer with 10,000 followers charge in Pakistan?

A creator with about 10,000 Instagram followers sits between the nano and micro tiers, so roughly Rs 6,000 to 12,000 for one reel is a common range. Strong engagement, a sought after niche or a very local audience can push it higher.

Do Pakistani influencers charge per post or per month?

Most charge per deliverable: per reel, story or post. Monthly retainers exist for ambassador style deals, where a creator posts for one brand several times a month at an agreed package price.

Is a free product a fair payment for a creator?

It can be, when the product's real value matches the work and the creator genuinely wants it. Many nano creators start with barter. For anything beyond a simple post, product plus a cash fee is more common.

Does Wasta take a cut of the creator's rate?

No. Wasta takes no commission from creators. Creators set their own price on every campaign, and businesses pay for unlock credits to contact the creators they choose.
